Mid 2018 when I was selected to work on this project for Project 39A, I thought of breaking the stereotypical government calendar design. I decided to make it more colourful, informative and also made sure it reflects India in every way possible.
The subject that I chose to work on was the rich textile heritage of India in the form of attires of different states. I did extensive research as a part of this project in order to make the illustrations and information as accurate as I could. These illustrations were hand-painted and then digitally edited before collating them in the form of this calendar.
