ART INSTALLATION
CraftCanvas, Ahmedabad ~ 2015
This art installation was made in collaboration with CraftCanvas for the office of Development2020, a project management firm based in Ahmedabad.
The core idea behind this installation was to represent a connection between Ahmedabad and London, the two cities, the founders of the firm have extensively worked in. The golden ratio served as the base for the design, where organic forms progressed into structures and cityscapes. A bicycle wheel was used to add a three-dimensional element and to imitate the London Eye. After conceptualising the entire design through sketches, it was digitised, printed and painted with Gond art patterns by a Gond artisan.
