I, POPPY DOCUMENTARY FILM POSTER

The idea while designing this poster was to convey the many layers of complexity, brought together in a way that feels like a poem, a beautiful painting, a dream.
To capture this essence, I drew inspiration from gouache painting. Its opaqueness and textured finish lend a sense of depth and emotion that perfectly complement the mood of the film. The visuals depict endless fields of poppies, within which stand the film’s two main characters—each immersed in their own way of life, yet connected by a shared symbol: the Poppy. Both are trapped within a net, bound together, yet in quiet conflict, shaped by their differing relationships with the poppy. It is a quiet but powerful conflict.
I, Poppy will have it's World Premiere in the International Competition Section at Hot Docs, Toronto in April 2025.
